The event took place between February 23-25, 2018 and was organized in partnership with the Vindobona Association for the Arbitration Promotion in Romania and the University of Bucharest’s Faculty of Law.
As part of the Pre-moot event, BIAC organised an international seminar on topics such as ethics in arbitration and the future in investment arbitration.
“We are honoured to support the fifth Romanian edition of the Pre-moot and we wish to take this opportunity to thank the international arbitrators who shared their impressive experience both during the conference, and during the competition. We are convinced that the debates were pertinent for the participants, especially for the students, being a solid foundation for their future careers. We congratulate the winners of the competition and the leadership of the Faculty of Law within the University of Bucharest for its special and tremendous support which ensured a tremendously successful event“, mentioned Dan Vişoiu, BIAC’s Secretary General.
“The collaboration between the University of Bucharest and BIAC allowed the participation of a record number of students and foreign arbitrators in the annual competition organised in Bucharest and I would like to thank BIAC for making this possible. Therefore, the following teams participated in the Pre-Moot: University of Roma Tre (Italy), University of Helsinki (Finland), the Hague University of Applied Sciences (Netherlands), Wyszynski University (Poland), University of Pavia (Italy), the Moldova State University (Moldova), the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (Russia), Nicolae Titulescu University (Romania) and the University of Bucharest (Romania)“, stated Raluca Papadima, associate professor with the University of Bucharest and the President of the Vindobona Association for the Arbitration Promotion in Romania.
